Various engineering assessments including:

  • Overall plant assessment with recommendations for upgrade priority.

  • Boil-off gas analysis and recommendations for methods to reduce boil-off gas.

  • Preliminary design study to develop methods of reducing icing issues on an LNG tank PRV vent system. Included CFD analysis of ice build-up mechanism and modification design and modification procedure development.

  • Plant assessment based on evaluation of: (1) Boil-off-gas; (2) Liquefaction (3) Product send-out; and, (4) common systems;

  • On site visual inspection of plant equipment by Jenmar Engineers;

  • Review of production data, plant logs, drawings and reports; Interviews with plant staff;

  • External visual condition assessment for LNG Storage, Air Liquide Cold Box (from the late 1960’s), LNG pumps and compressors/engines, mixed refrigerants, vaporizers, instrumentation. Assessment of foundation and corrosion. Corrective actions identified with recommendations presented in terms of concern and priority;

  • Development of cold box leak assessment procedures for helium and sonic probe tests;

  • Coordination of leak testing with third parties and Union Gas staff;

  • Assessment model of plant availability for different operating conditions.
